    Larla Mickelson

    CO-FOUNDER & LASER TECHNICIAN

    With over 18 years of experience in aesthetics and medical aesthetics, Larla brings a rare combination of clinical precision, compassion, and deep technical expertise to IVY Medical Aesthetics. Her journey began in 2006 after completing her aesthetics certification in Victoria, BC, followed by years refining her skills in high-end spas.

    She holds more than 15 certifications, including CO2, fractional lasers, IPL/BBL, microneedling, and radio frequency. Larla’s understanding of laser physics and skin physiology allows her to deliver safe, effective, and transformative results, particularly for complex skin concerns like rosacea, melasma, acne, and sun damage.

    Larla is known for her honest, results-driven approach and her ability to make clients feel heard, cared for, and confident. Her passion is helping others achieve healthy, radiant skin—and feel like the very best version of themselves.

    Pam Hain

    CO-FOUNDER & LASER TECHNICIAN

    Pam Hain brings nearly two decades of laser expertise and a deep passion for skin health to IVY Medical Aesthetics. Her career began in 2005 after completing her training at the Blanche MacDonald Institute in Vancouver. Starting out in high-end spas, Pam quickly discovered her true calling: clinical skin health and the dramatic, lasting changes that can be achieved with laser technology.

    Pam has worked alongside some of Victoria’s top dermatologists, refining her laser skills while learning to approach each treatment with precision, intuition, and integrity. Certified in over 12 laser platforms, Pam tailors every treatment to her client’s unique skin, always guided by results and safety.

    Her approach is deeply personal: combining cutting-edge technology with exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to help her clients feel confident in their skin. Pam continues to push herself to stay ahead in the field, always learning, always evolving—with one goal in mind: to help you love the skin you’re in.

  • Dr George Smith

    MEDICAL DIRECTOR

    Dr George Smith is passionate about great hair and skin - inspired by his own challenges with acne in his early 20s, Dr Smith completely understands how this can impact upon your self esteem and how you see yourself in the world.  He undertook his dissertation on acne at medical school in the UK, and spent time working in dermatology after graduating.

    He has an active clinical interest in hormone health as part of his passion for lifestyle medicine, and is excited to be offering great solutions for hair loss in men and women, as a result of a commitment to being and wanting the best for his patients.
